Join Albany Pack 3

Registration is very easy, and the fees are very reasonable. Full registration for a scout is just $125 for a year.  Parents are asked to make additional donations to our Local Boy Scouts of America Council through the annual Friends of Scouting (FOS) Campaign.  The Pack gets most of its funding through it's popular fundraiser, the annual Pancake Breakfast

Uniforms and Scout Handbook

Our Council Scout Store is at 800 Ellinwood Way in Pleasant Hill, phone 925-974-6100 and on the web at Mount Diablo Silverado Council Scout Shop. Purchases made at this store help support our own Boy Scout Council.

The East Bay Scout Shop is in San Leandro at 1001 Davis Street, phone 510-633-2005 or on the web at San Francisco Bay Area Council Scout Shop.

The staff at these stores is very helpful and will be happy to help you find what you need. To get the correct patches for the uniform, be sure to tell them that you are with Albany Pack 3, and part of the Mount Diablo Silverado Council. They will also want to know what rank your scout is.

The basic uniform consists of a shirt, hat, neckerchief, neckerchief slide, and then the pack and council patches. This can add up to $100 or so. The hat, neckerchief and slide will change with the different grades, but the same shirt can be used for your scout's whole cubscout career. You are also welcome to purchase pants/shorts, a belt, socks, etc..

While at the store, you should also pick up the scout handbook for your scout's grade. This is the guide to your year of scouting and will be needed for Den meetings as well as to work on patches and advancements.

It's a lot of fun to visit these stores, and doing so supports local scouts, but if you prefer, you can shop online at the main Boy Scouts online store:

A guide to the various insignia and patches (and where to put them on a uniform) is available on the BSA Insignia Guide.
